Autumn Comes to Bluestem Pond

The nights are getting colder and the days vary from 40’s to 70’s somewhat randomly.  The last week has been absolutely gorgeous in this part of Michigan with the golden, red and yellow hues of the leaves.  After a few windy and rainy days we have lost more than half of the leaves now and the overcast skies that are getting more frequent have stolen away that brief beauty.  A couple of days ago we woke up to frost and I took some pictures:
