Here are a couple new developments that make me feel like we may actually live in our house before summer arrives. The garage is looking more finished and I like the way the lighting fixture looks with the siding colors.
The crew is finishing up the trim on all the roof lines and adding the boards that separate the first floor siding from the upper half. I am anxious to see how the second floor will look because it is simulated cedar shakes and will be a slightly darker green. I guess I won’t get to see that till all the trim is completed. It is yet another exercise in patience.
In the mean time, the spring weather has been calling me outside to wander the farm and breathe in the scents of new life. The birds are courting each other in the trees and I am trying to pick out bird calls so that I know who is calling out to whom. I have a CD of Michigan birds that demonstrates the common songs of some 20 varieties. I will have to set aside some time to study it.
