We have a big day coming. We are ready to adopt another dog into our farm family, and her name is “Beezee.” The breeder from whom we got Fionn told us she had this dog, about Fionn’s age, who was in need of a new home. We’ve been wishing for a playmate for Fionn for some time but have just been too busy to address it up until now.
Beezee will require some special care and “taming” to teach her to trust us and follow commands. We won’t be able to take her off leash until we are confident she’ll stay within the boundaries of the farm. But she is not a puppy, so hopefully housetraining and chewing won’t be a part of our lives once again.
This is exciting for the whole household, including my mother who now lives with us. We will have moved the last of her stuff into the house by the time we go to get the new dog so I guess we need another major upset in the family. 🙂
