Cold, But Beautiful

It seems like there is not much to say this winter.  The unremitting cold is keeping us under siege in the house except for quick trips out for food or necessary errands and meetings.  I have to stop and appreciate how beautiful it is when the sun does shine, though. IMG_1668IMG_1667IMG_1663IMG_1670

Today, at 10:00 in the morning, it is a balmy 23 degrees and the dogs and I went out for a little photo shoot.  The frost on the grasses and tree branches is delicate and sparkly until the sun beats it back by late morning.  I saw in the news today that by Feb. 20 we should see the return of some above-freezing temperatures.  That is barely over a week away!  We can surely hold out that long.  Not that we have any choice in the matter.

What a beautiful dog. I always wanted a Wheaten, but ended up with a poodle… 😉

These are gorgeous pictures, and I do understand how 23 degrees can seem balmy.

I’m so sorry that your mom had to move. And I’m so glad she was able to be with you for the last few months. Am guessing you and I could write a book…

    Take care!

I love your pictures. There is something truly beautiful about a frozen landscape. Your dog is so cute!
